Tragic Incident in White City
Three individuals have died following a fire that engulfed a building in west London, according to reports from the London Fire Brigade. The incident, which occurred on New Zealand Way, saw a significant emergency response.
Emergency Response and Casualties
Firefighters were called to the scene shortly before 7:00 PM BST on Saturday after a blaze erupted in a single-story pavilion. Rescuers successfully extricated three men from the burning structure. Tragically, two of the men were pronounced deceased at the location, while the third succumbed to his injuries later at a hospital, as confirmed by Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne.
Fire Control and Investigation
Approximately 100 firefighters, operating with 15 fire engines, were deployed to tackle the inferno. The fire extensively damaged the pavilion, destroying just over half of the structure before it was brought under control by 9:25 PM. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
"Sadly, three people have died following a fire on New Zealand Way, White City," stated Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne at the scene. "The fire involved a single storey pavilion, with just over half of the structure damaged by the fire."
