The climate crisis is intensifying, leading to a rise in various threats that affect children across all regions, including those in affluent nations. These threats encompass a spectrum of severe weather events such as heatwaves, intense storms, widespread flooding, and prolonged droughts. The report specifies that over one billion children globally are simultaneously contending with at least three of these critical hazards.
"Almost every child, including those from high-income countries, is now exposed to at least one hazard."
