Preliminary vote tallies, with 99.65% of ballots counted, indicate that de la Espriella received approximately 12.91 million votes, accounting for 49.65% of the total. This placed him ahead of Cepeda, who garnered around 12.67 million votes, representing 48.7% of the ballots. The margin between the two candidates was approximately 248,310 votes. Additionally, 1.6% of the ballots cast were reported as blank.
