Rare Heat Warning for UK Regions
A significant amber extreme heat warning has been put in place by the Met Office for large areas of southern England and southeast Wales. This marks the most severe heat alert issued by the national weather service in almost four years, indicating a period of exceptionally high temperatures.
Expected Temperature Increases
Forecasters predict that temperatures will begin to rise over the weekend, reaching approximately 30C (86F). The heat is anticipated to intensify further, peaking on Monday and Tuesday, with highs potentially reaching 34C. The Met Office has also noted that there is a possibility for some localized areas to experience even higher temperatures than currently predicted.
