Investigation Underway After Child Injured

Authorities have arrested an individual in connection with an incident at Johnson’s of Old Hurst in Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, where a three-year-old boy was found in a crocodile enclosure. The man was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder.

Details of the Incident

Cambridgeshire police confirmed that emergency services were alerted to the zoo at approximately 1:24 PM on Thursday. The call reported an incident involving a young child who had entered the crocodile enclosure. The boy was subsequently transported to a hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.

"Officers were called to Johnson’s of Old Hurst, in Huntingdonshire, at 1.24pm on Thursday to reports of an incident involving a three-year-old boy, during which he ended up in the crocodile enclosure," a police spokesperson stated.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding how the child came to be in the enclosure is ongoing. Further details are expected to be released as the inquiry progresses.
