Government Advises Return Despite Previous Ban
An Australian woman, previously linked to the Islamic State (IS) group, has been granted permission to return to Australia. This decision follows advice to the government that a prior criminal exclusion order could no longer be legally enforced.
Enhanced Security Measures Planned
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke confirmed that the woman's return permit 'has to be issued.' He stated that upon her arrival in Australia, she will be subjected to an extraordinary level of security surveillance. This includes continuous monitoring and mandatory regular reporting to authorities.
