Lawmakers Scrutinize Harvard and Bard's Connections to Jeffrey Epstein

Congressional Inquiry Targets University-Epstein Links

Harvard University and Bard College are once again under scrutiny concerning their historical connections to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted child sex trafficker. Allegations suggest that Epstein may have utilized his affiliations with these academic institutions and their faculty to engage in the trafficking of women and to bolster his public image, thereby evading detection for his crimes.

Calls for Thorough Investigation

Jamie Raskin, the leading Democrat on the House judiciary committee, has issued a statement indicating that both Harvard and Bard had previously initiated investigations into how their institutions and leadership might have inadvertently enabled Epstein's abuse. However, Raskin noted that these prior efforts were either unsuccessful or did not provide a complete and transparent account of the events.

“We have reason to believe that Jeffrey Epstein leveraged his ties to Harvard and Bard, and to their faculty, to traffic women and to burnish his reputation to avoid detection. We are therefore seeking a comprehensive accounting of the role that Harvard and Bard, and their leadership, played in facilitating Epstein’s abuse,” Raskin stated.

Raskin is reportedly seeking a comprehensive accounting of these relationships and has requested an interview with the outgoing president of Bard College as part of this renewed inquiry. The investigation aims to understand the full extent to which Epstein's connections to these prestigious universities might have aided his criminal enterprises and reputation laundering.
