Drone Attack Targets Moscow Refinery
A significant fire erupted at a Moscow oil refinery in the Kapotnya district on Thursday morning, following what Russian authorities described as a large-scale drone attack. This incident marks the second time this week the facility has reportedly been hit by Ukrainian drones, resulting in visible flames and smoke billowing over the southeastern part of the city.
Mayor Reports Extensive Drone Interceptions
Sergei Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, stated that air defense forces were actively engaged in repelling a substantial drone assault. He acknowledged that while many drones were intercepted, several managed to reach the Moscow oil refinery. Additionally, Mayor Sobyanin reported that a shopping center also sustained damage during the incident. He further claimed that approximately 180 drones targeting the capital were successfully shot down by defense systems.
