High Court Injunction Secured Against 'Raise the Colours' Campaign
A nationalist organization, known as 'Raise the Colours', has reached an agreement to discontinue the practice of erecting England flags on lamp-posts situated on Oxfordshire County Council property. This development follows a successful High Court injunction obtained by the local authority against the campaign.
Agreement Reached with Campaign Leaders
Ryan Bridge, Ben Cullen, and Trudy Wells, identified as leaders of the group, informed the High Court on Tuesday of their commitment to several conditions. They pledged to refrain from hoisting St George's flags on property belonging to Oxfordshire County Council. Furthermore, they agreed not to encourage other individuals to engage in such activities, nor would they obstruct council employees in the removal of these flags.
Scope of the Injunction
The High Court injunction was issued against these four leaders, along with 'persons unknown' associated with the 'Raise the Colours' campaign. This legal action aims to prevent future instances of unauthorized flag installations on public infrastructure within the county.
