Oliver Tree's Remains Repatriated to US Following Tragic Helicopter Accident

Singer-Songwriter Oliver Tree's Body Returns Home

The remains of US singer-songwriter Oliver Tree have been transported back to California following his death in a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro last week. A statement posted on his official Instagram account confirmed the repatriation, stating that he can now "finally rest."

Charity Foundation to Honor Tree's Legacy

The social media post also revealed the family's intention to establish a charity in Oliver Tree's honor, fulfilling what they described as his "final wish." The statement elaborated, "This is something that Oliver had put together before his passing, written in his will. We will make sure his wish comes to fruition so that more joy, love and art can be spread into the world, that was his final wish."

The foundation will be named "Dr. Oliver Tree's Extremely Epic Grant For Baby Geniuses."

Family Expresses Gratitude to Fans

The statement concluded by thanking fans for their "constant love, support and positivity" extended to the musician's family and friends during "these extremely difficult times." It added, "Love you all so much, Oliver would be so proud of every one of his supporters, friends and family. Peace be with Oliver."

Tree and six other individuals perished last week when two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro.

Born Oliver Tree Nickell in Santa Cruz, California, in 1993, Oliver Tree gained prominence in 2016 after achieving viral status on social media. Recognizable by his distinct bowl haircut, he was known for popular tracks such as 'Life Goes On,' 'Miss You,' and 'Alien Boy.'

Oliver Tree was 32 years old at the time of his passing and had recently commenced a world tour. His last performance took place in São Paulo, Brazil, on June 6. He had upcoming shows scheduled in Lisbon, Portugal, on July 1, and in Glasgow, Manchester, and London in September.
