Major Drug Bust in Western Sydney
Australian federal police have reported a significant drug seizure, uncovering what they describe as the country's largest-ever haul of cocaine. Approximately 2.7 tonnes of the illicit substance were discovered buried in concealed compartments on a semi-rural property located in Londonderry, on Sydney's western outskirts.
Arrests Made Following Discovery
The extensive operation led to the arrest and charging of two individuals in connection with the discovery. The cocaine was allegedly stored in 'bunkers' situated beneath shipping containers on the property, which was raided by authorities on Friday.
