Public Calls for Higher Digital Services Tax
A new survey suggests that a substantial portion of the British public believes large multinational technology corporations, including giants like Meta (owner of Facebook), Google, and Amazon, should face increased taxation in the UK. The polling data, released by the Fair Tax Foundation on Monday, highlights public sentiment regarding corporate tax contributions.
Majority Supports Stronger Levies
According to the findings, 67% of respondents expressed support for the government increasing the digital services tax imposed on these multinational technology groups. The primary objective cited for this increase is to enhance their overall tax contribution within the United Kingdom.

The Fair Tax Foundation, an organization that certifies businesses for responsible tax practices, conducted the survey to gauge public attitudes on corporate taxation.
